STUDENT LOAN DEBT CONSOLIDATION

Student loan debt relief for rural area physical therapists

From American Physical Therapy Association, we know that Student loan debt relief may come handy for many physical therapists.

Over 35 representatives sponsored the bill, HR 5134 that makes physical therapists who are practicing in areas where there are shortages of health professionals eligible for student loan repayment assistance under the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.

That is mostly rural areas, obviously. Good news, physical therapist job is very demanding and student loan debt relief should be very welcome.

STUDENT LOAN CONSOLIDATION PROGRAM

Federal legislation has change the student loan program for graduate students

President Bush has signed the Budget Reconciliation Act into law, and one of the results is that graduate and professional students will now be able to apply for federal loans previously reserved for parents of undergraduate students.

That means graduate and professional students now have two options for financing their education.

1 They can apply for the new Graduate PLUS loan from the government
2 They can take out a private loan, as they've always been able to do.

So it is good to chose very carefully which option is better for you
